Certified Archivist to Speak at Beavercreek Women’s League
Dawne Dewey, a certified archivist at Wright State University (WSU) will speak about the WSU Special Collections and Archives which includes Beavercreek Women’s League (BWL) materials, at the Feb. 1st BWL meeting.
Refreshments and social time begins at 9:oo AM, then a business meeting at 9:30, followed by the program. The meeting will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Rd. in Beavercreek. Free childcare is available provided the children arrive before 10:00 AM. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
Tickets for the Scholarship Luncheon scheduled for Saturday, April 21 will be on sale. Tickets are $35 and proceeds provide scholarship grants to deserving 2012 Beavercreek High female graduates as well as for adult Greene County women returning to college.
BWL is an organization meant to provide social and community service opportunities for women while featuring an educational speaker each month. If Beavercreek Schools are cancelled due to inclement weather, the meeting is cancelled; however, school delays do not alter the planned meeting. Call 431-5529 for further information.
